Is it worth saving your relationship? I know this sounds like a harsh question; but before you begin taking the necessary steps to learn how to save your relationship; you want to be sure that you really want to put forth the work. I know if you have just went through a breakup; it is one of the most difficult things that you have to face.
However before you consider trying to patch things up; you want to make sure that saving it is something you really want to do. Before you get upset let me explain; I was in a relationship quite awhile back and when it ended I became very upset. Even though we did not have a lot in common; I became depressed that I was not going to find anyone so I took the steps to repair the relationship. Well a couple months later we were broken up again.
If you are in a serious or long term relationship with someone that you really care about; then I highly recommend that you should be honest about is it worth saving your relationship.
Compatibility: This means do you find that you and your partner have things in common that you both enjoy doing? If you discover that you both are incompatible and realize that you do not have anything in common; chances are it is not worth saving your relationship.
Love: Make sure that you are really in love with your partner and not just lonely because they have decided to end the relationship. Many people confuse loneliness and love up with each other and do not realize that sometimes it is just better to walk away from the relationship.
Emotions: If you have just broke up with your partner; then chances are you are going to be very emotional. Give yourself some time to be able to make some rational decisions. Do not try to get back together with your ex too soon after you have just broken up.
